EUCARINET is a four year Coordination Action, the main goal of which is to strengthen bi-regional sustainable policy dialogue on science & between EU Member States, Associated States and in the Caribbean Region, the Caribbean ACP States, the overseas Departments and Collectives, the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs). The Project works at policy, programme and institutional (research entities) level and contributes to the following Objectives:
- Create the conditions of the sustainable multi-stakeholders policy dialogue on technology between EU, its Member States and the Caribbean Region.
- Foster inter-regional (EU-Caribbean) and intra-regional cooperation in leading to the identification and prioritization of common research areas of mutual interest and benefit.
- Stimulate and support the participation of Caribbean Research stakeholders in FP7 with a first emphasis on 'People Programme'.
The project consortium includes 12 partners: 6 from the EU and 6 from the Caribbean, representing stakeholders from research, industry, government and civil society, that will ensure the fulfillment of EUCARINET's objectives.
