The CARICOM states are generally net importers of fossil fuels and in many cases, the largest share of this imported energy is used in the transportation sector. There are currently no CARICOM- supported initiatives for the diversification of the fuel mix in the transport sector, despite strong support from the CARICOM Energy Policy to do so. The project, under the direction and partnership of the CARICOM Secretariat and the Government of the primary study country, Saint Lucia, will provide the key information needed by stakeholders to determine how to proceed with implementation of viable electric mobility solutions. Both project partners will be beneficiaries of the project.
