Under the theme “Moving away from Tokenism – Youth a Critical Part of Decision Making”, the annual Youth Dialogue between the Region’s young people and the CARICOM Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque was held on Monday 1 July 2019, in Saint Lucia.
Saint Lucia’s Youth Ambassadors McAllister Hunt and Ezbai Francis coordinated the two-hour session with a live audience of young Saint Lucians at the studios of the Government Information Service and an active on-line audience from the Caribbean Community and beyond.
Dubbed Ask-SG-Live-758, the discussion explored two main areas - options for greater youth participation at the national and regional decision making levels, and pursuing regional integration and regional travel including sea transportation.
The event was streamed live and the repeat can be seen on the CARICOM Face Book page -
