Secretary-General of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Ambassador Irwin LaRocque exchanged notes with Ms. Ulrike Metzger, Head of Division, German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in regard to two projects funded by Germany.
The funds support use of energy efficient appliances in CARICOM through services of a regionally coordinated quality infrastructure and the continuation and strengthening of activities under the Coastal and Aqua Terrestrial Solutions (CATS) Project with respect to water systems, forestry, fisheries and environment monitoring. Total funding amounts to four million euro with three million to the CATS project and one million to the energy project.
