Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretary-General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque has extended congratulations to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, His Excellency Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on the occasion of his inauguration into office.
In a message to Mr Tokayev, Ambassador LaRocque congratulated him on his victory in the country’s June 9 presidential elections. Mr Tokayev was sworn in to Office on June 12.
The Secretary-General told the President that Kazakhstan and CARICOM have been building on their relations over the years and in this stead, Community welcomes further opportunities to advance these relations with his administration.
The full text of the message reads as follows:
“President Tokayev,
On behalf of the Caribbean Community, it is my pleasure to extend sincere congratulations to you on your recent victory in the presidential elections in Kazakhstan.
Over the years, Kazakhstan and CARICOM have been building on their relations, and we welcome further opportunities to advance these relations with your administration. I take this opportunity to renew the commitment of the Community to promoting dialogue and cooperation with Kazakhstan.
Excellency, please accept my best wishes for the strengthened development and growth of the Republic of Kazakhstan and for your successful term in office.
