CARICOM Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque on Friday met with new Barbados Prime Minister Ms Mia Mottley.
The Secretary-General, as is customary, updated the new Prime Minister on developments in the regional integration movement, including the CARICOM Single Market and Economy for which the Barbadian Leader has responsibility in the CARICOM Quasi-Cabinet.
Prime Minister Mottley led her Barbados Labour Party to office in the country's May 24 General Elections.

She is expected to join her CARICOM colleagues at the upcoming 39th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community, scheduled for 4-6 July 2018 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The Opening Ceremony, from 4:30 pm on Wednesday 4 July, will be streamed live on CARICOM Today and the CARICOM Face Book page.
