This Agreement establishes the Caribbean Regional Fisheries Mechanism which provides for the efficient management and sustainable development of marine and other aquatic resources within the jurisdictions of Member States; the promotion and establishment of co-operative arrangements among interested States for the efficient management of shared, straddling or highly migratory marine and other aquatic resources; and the provision of technical advisory and consultative services to fisheries divisions of Member States in the development, management and conservation of their marine and other aquatic resources.
Date opened for Signature: 2002/02/4According to Article 35 this Agreement, shall enter into force upon the signature by any [7] of the States mentioned in paragraph 1 of Article 3. (i.e. Member States and Associate Members of CARICOM) Entered into force on 4 July 2003.
