Objectives

This agreement provides for the improvement of the quality of life in the region by ensuring the supply of adequately and appropriately trained personnel to meet the animal health services of the region; the reduction reliance on extra regional programmes for the preparation of animal and veterinary public health personnel; a more effective use of scarce veterinary medical resources within the region; and the consulting services to members among member states.

Entry into Force:

According to Article 19 this Agreement shall enter into force on the deposit of instruments of Ratification by nine of the countries listed in the Annex of the Agreement including Guyana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago.
